I remember the first time I saw my crush, I was in year 8 and he was walking down the hallway and as cheesy as it sounds he looked like he was walking in slow motion 😂. He had smooth skin and was so tall and had the biggest dimples. From that point on I was in love. I would find any excuse to be near him or talk to him in the playground or on the bus after school. I started offering him snacks or gum just to spark up a conversation.
As time went on i realised I wasn’t the only one who was completely smitten by him and the competition was on!!! (Baring in mind we were only 13 at this time and to be honest we had no idea how to even compete with each other properly😂). Anyway I made it my mission to become his best friend, i figured at the time it was the best way to get the closest to him. Somehow my plan worked and we started talking everyday after school on MSN messenger (showing my age now🙈), this slowly turned into phone calls and little park trips and then to my surprise he asked me on a secret date to the cinema. I cannot tell you how excited i was, i felt as though that day was the happiest day of my little life!!!
My first little date was so cute and perfect in my 14 year old mind, and after that date he told me how much fun he had and leaned in to kiss me at the bus stop. I could have cried with happiness at that point.
We actually dated for the next 3 years and my crush quickly turned into my first love 🥰
